PROMMRA Collector is a technological development aimed at improving the processes of capturing operational data in Rural Sanitation Services (SSR), which are in charge of supplying drinking water to rural sectors. This solution has been developed as a response to the technological requirements of SSRs, specifically those found in the Coquimbo Region, Chile. In this way, this tool contributes to the SSR operation processes in order to ensure the quantity, quality and continuity of the water supply for the population in the rural sectors of the Coquimbo Region. The application allows paper records to be replaced by sending data instantly to the operating systems of each SSR, which simplifies the work of system operators in the field, strengthens data availability and contributes to the traceability of the data that is generated daily by each SSR.The data is recorded through modules, within which the operating data (well levels and flowmeter records), water quality, readings for billing, maintenance and reports are entered. Regarding its connectivity, the application uses the GPRS network of the cellular devices where it is installed, if it does not have connectivity, it can store the data collected while waiting for a connection to send data. This feature increases its usability in areas where telephone coverage is low.PROMMRA Collector is a technological development of the Laboratory for Prospecting, Monitoring and Modeling of Agricultural and Environmental Resources (PROMMRA) of the Department of Agronomy of the University of La Serena, Chile.
